Jon Altman is an emeritus professor at ANU and adjunct professor at UTS Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research
He has worked with Indigenous communities and organisations in the NT for over 40 years. Much of Jon’s research has focused on the workings of land rights and native title systems, including in their interactions with extractive industries.

Donovan Jampijinpa Rice is a Warlpiri author.
Frank Baarda is a geologist and author of “My Yuendumu Story”.
Ned Jampijinpa Hargraves is a Warlpiri journalist/author for IndigenousX.

Traditional Owners’ Perspective on Land Rights, Protecting Country, Being on the Front Line and Having a Political Voice
Speakers: Traditional Owner Rikki Dank/Lhudi Noralima and her husband, Dr Sanjit Paul
Rikki Dank was one of just four Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander delegates at the COP26 climate summit held recently in Glasgow. She and her family have been actively trying to protect her Country from exploitation and destruction from mining and industry for more than three decades.
Dr Sanjit Paul is a father and husband of a Traditional Owner. He is a medical doctor with 20 years experience and currently working in managing in-flight medical emergencies for a major international airline.
